Convincing non normative folks to lean in at work requires an environment of trust. That’s best established by first removing the hindrances that can inadvertently lead to an environment where some of your team isn’t bought-in with their whole heart.

Holding a corporate event or workshop to discuss these issues is a great way to show that the comfort of marginalized employees is important, and beyond just being a gesture, it will usually move the marker a little further towards a culture in which LGBTQ+ folx can thrive instead of just surviving.
